DERBY KING FEATURE: 5 to 7 winners
Time: 5:30 PM Internet connection [/b]: Set to ISDN
Screen Resolution: 640
INternet Connection : Each driver is to have all background programs turned off and all windows
CLOSED. MSN Messenger, Facebook in the background, even wecrash in the background affects this game. MUSIC PROGRAMS CAUSE THIS GAME TO CRASH< MUSIC DOWNLOADERS ETC.
A clean system with just the game running !!!.
Internet connection freezing or no one responding to your text : Just log out of the game completely and reload. This happens on occasion if you have Vista or W7. It tends to happen when you first log on. Once you have connected successfully its generally good for the night. The computer will kick you out when its froze. Don't just back out and come back in. You must exit the game, sometimes you need to restart your computer or reset your router. Its a partial connection that causes this and has proven to be easy to overcome.
Internet Connection lost Player : If the game starts to load and you are bounced to the desktop,
the game will continue if there are 3 or more players on the track. If there are only 2 players, a
restart will immediately occur. Drivers will have 5 minutes to regrid. A player is lost in about 1
in every 7 derbies. Players who lose there connection will not be eliminated until their 3rd failure
to hold a connection or no heats are left.
Internet connection lost Host : This is a bad thing because its me...there is a backup Host
computer ready. Complete restart. May take up to 10 minutes to regrid, but normally just 3 minutes.
We will wait for EVERYONE to regrid and give a 5 minute warning. A complete restart will occur if
this happens in the middle of a derby. Host is lost about 1 in every 12 derbies.
Internet Connection FLAKEY!!! If you see cars floating around and/or the game is unplayable you
can exit before any damage has occurred to anyones cars. If two people exit a game before any damage
has been inflicted it will be the signal to the Host to restart because the game is unplayable. This is normally because someone has MSN MESSENGER, FACEBOOK, ANTI VIRUS ON or is DOWNLOADING A MOVIE OR SONG OR SOMETHING ELSE UNRELATED TO THE GAME!!!
Internet Connection GHOSTING: Someplayers connection fades near the end of the derby. You will
find that you can drive right throught the cars. Do not worry. Damage is still occurring. The Derby will continue until a winner is determined through damage or overheating. I just discovered on some ANTI SPYWARE programs there is a gaming mode, which you must turn on so that it doesn't start checking in the middle of a derby. THis causes ghosting.
All final decisions are in the hands of the host.
THis is all in good fun, and is more about having a good time then rules. What is describe above is
not rules as much as it is a way to keep the derbies moving forward quickly.
The REAL RULES... From a madmax perspective. 1) Teaming! I don't care if you do. There is no prize and little we can do about it, so there is no
rule about teaming.
2) Flipped! The REcovery feature will be turned off. To get back on your wheels will be fate not the
keyboard. If someone wants to put your car back on its wheels they can.
3) Out of bounds over the walls/Logs. You cannot win a Derby on the outside. If the player inside the
Bullpen is counted out and there are others on the outside, the player counted out WINS the derby.
4) Sandbagging. The sandbag clock is set at minimum 45 seconds.
5) Competitive hits. The computer gauges all hits. Not us. You see someone doggin it, go and hit
them. But I will remember you
Signed, madmax
Sandbagger, derby coward and frequenter of being on the wrong side of the wall.

Final Hint. The player with the weakest connection, seems to hold up the best for damage. However, when the number of players increase the player with the weakest connection will get dropped by the host computer after a minute or so, if its not strong enough. So, gang up on the flakiest car first...erm.. did I say that LOL...
