Does anyone have any tips on tucking. Im tucking my 89 vic and would like some tips on how to and how much to tuck on it.

measure halfway than cut the ribs on the inside of the trunk across... bend down trunk, cut out drip rail til you think itll fit back in then put it in and weld wire or bolt or chain or whatever rules allow... on my newport i had to cut out almost all the drip rail plus part of the trunk itself........ hope that helps you

I don't like to cut mine it's harder to work with but when theres a backhoe handy i set the bucket on where i want it to bend and bend it and it's a nice clean fold heres a pic of the dippy i did that way

thats a good ideal scooter i might have to do that and save the back alittle lol.... do you guys recommend taking the trunck off to do it or leave it on the car

I think when I did mine, I only cut half of the ribs. Just enough to weaken and start bending. Then me stomping on it for a bit finished it off. Be sure to run bolts through the inner and outer trunk lid skins. I did this before bending my trunk lid, so the inner skeleton frame of the lid would stay tight against the outer metal lid.

when i do mine with the backhoe i take the trunk lid off and flip it upside down and set the bucket on where i want it to bend and push the lid up into the bucket takes 10 mins. lol

not bad man i would have made the fold in the middle of the lid that way when your frame goes up the bumper will be even with top of the trunk lid and you'll be able to see the hole time .The more you do it the better you'll get at it looks good tho man
