you NEED to find yourself a different bumper then tuck and notch like you would your ford if you have access to a loader or something like that i would lift the rearend up and get the rear rolling before you even derby it. also you cannot cold tilt can you?

I've heard other people say the rears are weak. We ran a '82 Cadillac Deville and the rear end was rock solid (Arizona car though). The only weakness we found was the core support will walk on you. Mind you, we ran it in a stock show with limited mods.

sit the rear up as high as you can steatch the rear springs seen one last year a car was higher then the back of caddy and he was digging dirt with one shot and wire the fold of your hood to the core support if you can

I love caddys but people want mega bucks for them here. I have run and helped build alot of these cars. Have never tilted one but the fronts are strong with a good bumper up front. 80s vic bumpers have worked out for me but have been junk once the car is done. For the rear there's the supports that run angled by the quarters I remove these left stock there stronger then you think and not alow a good bend. Next thing I do is take the aluminum off the chrome shell and bolt the shell directly to the shocks. Now I would notch just after the bumper shock fairly large 2-3 inchs wide and make a pie shaped cut 3/4s the way down then notch agian by the body mount near the hump 1-1.5 inchs wide about a inch deep. If allowed tuck the trunk and crease the quarters down where the tuck ends. Pounding the humps in will help prevent the humps from collapsing if the collapse it will go down. Tom
