well got under the hood today the redneck way lol heres a pic of the motor guys one problem with it was the air filter was clogged so bad it was black... and the air intake tube was clogged with rodent nest and nut shells lol And we got it running today the previous owner said it would run and then shut down it did that to me once and then it never did it again once... but when i walked over to the passenger side i smelled gas and looked down and found that it was leaking..... its probably hard to see but it was leaking pretty good..... so good news is that it runs and has a new tranny bad news so far is it leaks gas and that it has no brakes lol

yea i know scoot thats why i pulled the motor out of the 90 vic im gonna convert it to carb as a winter project lol and thanks im excited about running this car it will be my first gm

well i got the fuel leak fixed and seems to run good for sitting for 5-7 years lol and running off the gas that was in the tank.... it seems to have a burnt valve or valve thats sticking and a slight miss..... so im gonna try some mechanic tricks to get the valve undone with out taking the motor apart and all i keep you guys posted about what happens with this car and i need to make up my mind to run it or not considering i only have a month tilll the derby this car would get ran at

messed around with this some more still got a fuel leak somewhere coming from between the body and frame so does anyone know if there is a line up there lol but drove it around some today using the e brake and seems to run ok doesnt pick up right away but probably needs a tune up and timing jumped up a little

yes but they have to be doubled for franks shows i was thinking about doing that to eliminate that problem

Maybe by the time you run this you can find a SBC and another steel bumper you would really like a SBC I think

yea hopefully i think your right derby111 i would probably like a sbc but i dont have one and cant seem to find one their very popular around here considering their is a dragstrip in our county and the other use in pulling trucks or derby cars

idk i dont see why not his inspectors probably wouldnt know but not sure ill have to ask him when i run his show with the vic in a few weeks
