So I need a new air compressor mine just runs all day long now and builds very little pressure. It's and old POS my father picked up.
What are the minium requirements that I should be looking for for air tools? Also something that builds pressure fast and holds it. Single stage or two stage? It can be 110v or 220v. Thoughts Ideas?
Thanks.

if you want one that will keep up and hold air i would get a 80 to 100 gallon with 2 piston compressor but there not cheap i use to work on garbage trucks and that compressor would handle a 1 inch impack without any problem. My dad and friend has 60 gallon one piston compressor and they do fine my dad runs his sand blaster with it but he said a 80 gallon would work better for the sand blaster. My buddy runs his plasma cutter with his 60 gallon but seems to run the hole time hes cutting thats a ingersaw ram compressor i think from tractor supply

yes it will take longer to fill but the air will last longer and the compressor wouldn't run as much cuz theres more room for air with a bigger tank.thats a nice one your looking at and i like the 165 psi

if you use it for painting and all i would recommend geting a two stage and 80 gall should do fine if your only running one or two lines off of it and def 220

Bought the one I posted above, should have it by Wednesday.Should be more than enough for me.Cost $999 shipped to a friends commercial business. This would be the equivalent to a 3-4 car garage air compressor.I shopped around and compared them by going to friends garages.Yes they let me just walk back and read the labels on the compressors.I'm just using it for personal use for myself Also this is the same pump and motor as the 80 gallon unit.So I can save some money by getting the smaller compressor and sister a small reservoir tank to it if I need more capacity.
