I said I was done doing build threads but I may as well start another since this site is so dead.... This car will be ran at Mandan ND Team Destruction 3, the one my 78 newport ran in last year, Im on a whole new team this year this car is in very rough shape but for $100 I couldnt pass it up how I got it it came without a hood, part of the core support and missing some suspension parts but none of that is a big deal I got the car stripped now this weekend and it is very clean but beat up bad, it must have been in a terrible wreck once cuz the fenders and floors are beat up terribly, but the floors are all very clean it will have this rearend in it that I just built it just a stock axle 8 3/4 with 4.56 gears and a back brace it will also have a stock 360/727 in it that I ran in a 76 gran Fury in September here is the wecrash link to the Mandan thread for rules and other info we-crash.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bigmoney&action=display&thread=23538

I'm watching. What all did you have to switch from your fury?

Just cut the a arms apart on the fury... balljoints are different sized from fullsize to midsize mopar so had to crank down the torsion bars til the bolt almost fell out in order to get it to line up, also had to use the tie rod from the fury since it is bigger than the one on the doba... basicly only the bare a arms are the only thing that was used on the doba

Sounds like a really time consuming switch. Atleast it's complete

What are you gonna run for a front bumper? Around here limited weld dobas usually are using flat mopars and full weld use pointys. I'm not sure what your guys rules are like

its getting a seem welded 76 gran fury bumper going on it... I can weld the frame firewall forward and suck K member tight, weld doors and trunk, 9 wire from roof or cage to frame, 8 connection points for hood and use lots of bolts.... didnt wanna use a pointy and this was about all I had otherwise, if i get this one run from this bumper ill be happy

heres the trunk on this beast now, im hoping to get it down to about 15 inchs from the ground when its done, and yes it will be ran without the back bumper and heres how I have my bumper shocks ran right now, there both welded in sold as well and my frame seems welded firewall forward, hopefully this doesnt interfere with my engine mounting
