I understand the feeling I went to a stock derby a couple years ago and my buddy had a bubble Lincoln with a monte bumper on the front and he cleaned house. Everyone of the locals was climbing all over that car and they couldn't figure out why it was so tough. This year at that derby all but two cars in the feature were new fords lol. And about your brake pedal what's the point if them? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I've never seen one before around me

I've never seen one before at all.... on all my cars I have to eliminate the brake booster so I built this so its just 4 bolts to move it from car to car, and my brake line will be inside the car and out of harms way, last year I got a brake line tore off a car, this should prevent that from happening.... its an experiment

I know a little something about these cars. Pulling the pucks and sucking the kmember down tight was a great idea. These cars are devastating forwards or backwards stock. The humps are double framed in the back so with a decent spring pack and chained down tight the rear should be pretty tuf. With your rules welding seams firewall forward with the k frame sucked down the front will be super stout. The only thing I could see was those bumper shocks should be on the outside. But that's just me it's totally personal preference. Build your cage with down bars in front and back to sorta join the front sub with the back unibody frame. It will hold it from bellying out to quickly unless you are aloud to connect them underneath. I ran one if these cars in 4 derbies and prolly could have gotten at least one more out if it but I was tired of it and wanted to build something else. And that was a pretty stock build nothing like what you can do. Good luck with it and have fun. They get around the arena great they are a lot of fun

thanks dan... i did the bumper shocks on the inside so that it wouldnt affect turning radius, this derby is very fast paced so i need to be able to move fast... it should turn out the same with them like this

Cut your bumper ends down short otherwise with the brackets on the inside of the frame when the ends start to curl around they will get into your tires instead. Withe the brackets on the outside and short so you can weld the bumper to the bracket and the end of the frame there's less leverage on the ends of the bumper and less chance they'll curl around and get into the tires. Also after you weld the seams up get ya about 6 cans of spray foam and start at the front and work your way to the back of the sub. 3 cans on each side maybe more ours took 3 each. After it expands and sets up its like filling it with metal. But if they find it and make you take it out its a royal bitch burning all that stuff out with the torch and where a mask the fumes will kill you. Lol just sayin
