thanks for the pic. and scooter im not worried about overheating, chevy runs hot and u know it lol, but if im gonna spend the money on radiators, I don't wanna destroy them lol. Ill be driving like me dad, backwards around the ring, drivers door in, looking for the kill shot and for any doubters of this method, tell that to all his trophy wall

I don't care if they hit my passenger door. I've never seen a door win a derby All it is a deterrent for them not to go after you and possibly avoid a wheel shot doing so if they are chicken shit enough to be scared in hitting your door.Thats for people who don't understand how to use the steering wheel ;D

I agree I haven't seen a door win a derby either but around me I've seen enough people get hit in the passenger side doors and shoved across the arena over the berm.

ive never seen a door win one either, but i have seen i door get knocked into the battery box and break everything loose. (around here we take the cheap way out.. old milk crate=perfect battery box lol) and like i said, im not doubting the strength of the front end, but u have to use the whole car as a weapon if possible. in my opinion anyways, save the front for last unless u got a kill shot

a metal one would be fine... ppl used to use the plastic ones around here til we got a metal battery box rule heres the one i built, cost me litterally nothing since it was all junk metal i had laying around, its big enough to hold 2 semi batteries in it, i then put a piece of plywood over it and then a tarp strap from the nuts that are welded to the side to hold the plywood on it

Agreed with everyone about the battery box! I have a nice one I built in two hours and a majority of that time was painting it
