Im looking at a 75 impala that some one cut the top off to make it a covertibal. The car was originaly a hard top with no post. It has clean bumpers and runs and drives. I can get it for about 600 bucks. My question is my buddy has a impala in his junk yard with a clean roof. I dont mind doing the work of cutting the top off another car and welding it on this one. But would it be weak? Should I just buy it for the parts and strip it and junk it? Or do you think I could make this work. Let me know what you guys think? ??

ive seen ppl replace roof before like that.... just incorporate a halo bar and rear and front window bars into supporting it.... id both weld it and bolt it back together and use plate to do so, i wouldnt think just rewelding it would be enough.... but it definately wouldnt stop me from getting the car
