Well the best 80^ builder in my area I've noticed runs 9-wire between the two rear pillars. I think it's to keep the pillars from bowing out. I'm sure there is another reason but it works well for him Here's how I tried it this year

ok i understand, im allowed 9 wire in the window openings but i would rather run it to the frame.....
there is currently a 3 foot snow drift in front of my house door, looks like i wont be getting into the shop at all this week

pretty nice day today, managed to get down there for about 3 hours..... got my rear window bar in, mounted my rear bumper, and ran a few of my spots of 9 wire from the roof to the frame... this weekend is supposed to be 70s so i should be down there alot and get alot done

Cut out part of my firewall and tunnel to accomidate the engine and tranny, rear doors partially welded and the gas tank cover welded shut and started the trunk on fire in the process

going to get a pickup with a 318/727 in it in the morning and will be pulling that and putting it into this car... then going with a buddy to get a 78 fury wagon for him for our hometown show for this year.... with any luck at all I will have this my car running by the end of this weekend.... temp is suppose to be nice.... once i get the engine in and the car tilted the rest should only take about a week after work every night to get it done.... 21st birthday in 2 weeks so wont get much done that weekend

If that's how low you plan on running it it might be beneficial to angle the rear bumper up just to guarantee it goes up JMO

got the engine in today.... despite that Brad Brown told me that the 360 cradle wouldnt fit the 318, I made it work with only minor grinding... having the cradle made this a very simple swap in... but now the tranny will only be chained onto the crossmember, not bolted.... also got a points dist in this thing and got my engine mounted gas pedal on it... another productive day... going to Napa tomorow to order new plugs and wires, internally resisted coil, and a new starter
