I got this pic from tude at wecrash(who is coming to this site soon)but , until then,do you weld where the green marks are or the orange?or both?i honestly can not figure this out....

do you guys stick weld or mig them? awesome pic!! Stick welded. I'm not sure if I would trust the strength of a wire welder on the gears. An IMPORTANT thing to remember when welding spider gears. ONLY weld a little bit at a time. These gears can crack or shatter if overheated from welding.

stick weld and hes right we do one at a time then drink a beer and do another one drink a beer blah blah blah

Weld everything, I weld the gears to the gears and the gears to the carrier housing itself...I make it a complete mass of molten metal so that it doesn't have the chance of breaking under load.

i all ways mig mine you can control the heat batter so you dont heat up the axals to much

weld the whole center section solid, Just remember if one of your tires is weded against a car or something and cant spin you run a good chance of braking an axle when you gas it. If someone is going to make a clear axle shot on you hit your brakes if you cant get away

Im sure most of you have heard the saying, Weld one side, drink a beer, then weld the other side. I've never tryed it, cause Im not allowed to weld the read ends. lol...

Yup weld every thing even the pins for the spider gears only had them brake when i dont let off the gas.
