first take that big block motor out put a small block in there notch the rear so it'll go up I'm still figuring these things out I like the noses so I'd say get them in the air and drive forwards exspecially with the 78-79 tough noses in them.

the 68-72 has the toughest nose with a good bumper on it

first take that big block motor out put a small block in there notch the rear so it'll go up I'm still figuring these things out I like the noses so I'd say get them in the air and drive forwards exspecially with the 78-79 tough noses in them. those can be very tough cars, we had a 83 caddy win our derby last year against pretty much all old iron cars,,,,,,,,,,, he was a HUGE sandbagger tho I'll tell ya what if you want to really know the best yrs for the caddies it going to be the 74-76 why cause you can go forward and backwards with them I haven't seen a 68-72 do good at any of are shows I've seen pics of 68-73 do good but it takes alot of work to make them competiable as far as for the guy that won your show with the 83 and sandbagging well cann't help you there I'm saying that in my caddy's that I've ran the toughest nose was the 79 2-door if a caddy is built right don't under estimate it a well built caddy will give your 74 newport a run for its money JMO.

i know caddys are tough cars, for a stock show the best are 74-76 imo, and i gotta go against a 75 this year, the newer late 70s early 80s caddy are good too in the front but the back is junk, and the 68-73 noses are really tough but it takes alot of welding and a good set of rules

my friend ran one several years ago (caddy) that was in its 70's and was a front wheel drive! was this rare? it had a big block in it..i want to say a 502 but not 100%sure

The 90s devilles are suprisingly tuff and usually pretty clean, and easy to come by due to a lot of problems and expensive repais to drive train

Im Running a 1973 caddy sedandeville, first caddy i have ran. what are some good tips i can use? is it a front end car or rear end car? im running it in upstate new york.

run the nose back off the line and nose it all nite push ppl with the rear I'd prolly tuck it 307 is right through a different front bumper on it weld it good are you runninga small block in it I would

i dont have another engine so im gonna prolly run the 472 that came in it. i was thinkin of changin bumpers, the only other one i have is a 78 licoln bumper
