chaining the a-arms down is easy jack the nose up so the tires are barely off the ground then take a piece of chain and wrap it around the a arm and then weld it to the top of the frame it really doesnt have much movement unless you get a few guys jumping on it LOL it stiffens it up good hope that helps

Should I take the bump stops out first. I did when I just welded them so it makes sense to do the same.

go ahead and try it, ive never seen an actual tilted gm run even... wat i have seen done is under the door some ppl on gms will put a tiny slice on the bottom of the frame so then it puts the stress on trying to bend the doors instead of bending at the firewall, therefore making it try to bend the door sheetmetal.... if that makes any sence

I realize I am new to this site, But... You can't even compare anything 77 and newer to the older caddies! period! 68-72 very hard nose! 73-74 nose only beaten by a hammerhead imp, compareble to a suicide. 75-76 very hard nose but not as hard as the other years, rear is comp to a buick ot olds of same yr IF you know how to set them up. Any of these years, if you can leaf almost unbeatable. unfortunately we cant leaf anything older than 80.

Any 68 - 76 Caddie will destroy any other "good" Gm, But they take about twice as long to build to potential.

goines2 your right about the caddies from like 77-85 all they are is nose cars takes alot of work to make the rears do good I'd love to try and find a 73-76 caddy so I could build it but I cann't find one...
