Porter County Fair July 30th and 31st.
Schedule:
July 30th - Friday Night - Figure 8 Racing - There will be two separate classes, one for 4 & 6 cylinders and one for 8 cylinders. Each class will be paid: 1st - $500.00, 2nd - $300.00, 3rd - $100.00
July 31st - Saturday - 5:00 pm show - Full show for 8 cylinder cars. 1st - $800.00, 2nd - $400.00, 3rd - $200.00 and $40.00 to the top three in each heat. If 40 or more cars enter, we will pay $1,000.00 for 1st place. A separate heat will be held for girls (Powder Puff), they will receive heat monies and trophies, and will qualify for the feature event as well.
July 31st - Saturday - 8:00 pm show - Full show for 8 cylinder cars. 1st - $800.00, 2nd - $400.00, 3rd - $200.00 and $40.00 to the top three in each heat. If 40 or more cars enter, we will pay $1,000.00 for 1st place. A separate heat will be held for girls (Powder Puff), they will receive heat monies and trophies, and will qualify for the feature event as well.
Bombers and trucks and vans will be allowed to run at the 8:00 pm show only, pay out will be determined by the car count, full pay out of car entries will be the minimum for those classes.

Car Set Up and Rules (Porter and Lake County rules are the same)
1. Only the car and driver that qualified for the feature may run in the feature, no borrowing of other cars for the feature event.
2. Remove all glass, including windshield, side windows, rear window, head and tail lights. Rolling windows down is not permitted.
3. Chrome molding strips and the bottom portion of the rear seats must be removed.
4. Any sharp or protruding fins, or dangerous objects, mash down or cut off.
5. No special bumpers, reinforcements, or fabrications. Bumpers may be welded solid to the frame. (you can not add any metal)
6. Suspension may be altered, including changing the rear, upper and lower trailing arms on the rear ends. Non leafed cars may be leafed, 7 leaf max, (no truck leaf springs).
7. Radiators must remain in the original position or be taken off. Transmission coolers are permitted but only if they are secure inside the engine compartment or inside and enclosed box, inside the car. Welded solid or chained down engine mounts are recommended.
