thanks prolly goin to get a driveshaft made tomorrow possibly start on getting the brakes in workin condition get a shifter made and maybe mount my bumper lol ok so might not get it all dont tomorrow but maybe will get that all done this weekend o yea i am goin to have a different bumper for this thing then previously stated

update! well today was a good day i got the engine runnin and the driveshaft in so it moves under its own power but there are a few problems...1 no brakes so can't stop lol getting that fixed tomorrow hopefully 2. dont really have a seat yet but its getting there once i get the brakes fixed and i can move it outside with out worrying about runnin into things i will get update pictures

i would fold the front of the fenders over and bolt them to the core support.

No car will be allowed on the track prior to the heat in which it is to participate. Inspection closes 3:00-6:00p.m. 4. Intoxication beverages, or the use of such, are prohibited prior or during the event. Driver’s meeting 6:30 p.m. 5. Female drivers may not participate in Powder Puff heat if pregnant 6. Derby drivers and crew are independent contractors, not employees of the promotor. 7. The last three cars moving in all heats will be offi cially proclaimed the winner. 8. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES AND DERBY OFFICIALS WILL BE FINAL! 9. No welding on the car is allowed. 10. Questions call Darren Gates 1-937-596-5223 DRIVER’S ENTRY: 1. Any front engine, hard-top or station wagon is allowed. No trucks, jeeps, carry-alls, hearses, compact cars, or four-wheel drive cars permitted. 2. NO V TREAD TIRES ALLOWED (DOUBLE TIRES ALLOWED.) 3. All drivers must supply their own car and have a valid driver’s license. 4. Any driver and/or crew member disobeying rules will cause his/her car to be disqualifi ed. 5. The feature Demolition event will be composed of the last three cars running in each heat and must be the same car used in a heat. 6. Car numbers must be painted on both door panels and on the top of the car before the car enters the grandstand. 7. Pit passes will be sold at $10.00 each. 8. No offensive language or pictures will be permitted. NO NEW CAR OR COMPACT CAR WILL BE ALLOWED TO BE USED IN THE FEATURE EVENT. TIME LIMIT- A time limit will be announced by the derby offi cial INSPECTION- Derby offi cials reserve the right to inspect any and all cars entered in the demolition contest at any time. INSPECTION OFFICIAL’S DECISION SHALL BE FINAL. DISPOSAL OF CARS-All cars participating in the derby must be removed from the fairgrounds two hours following the feature event or arrangements made with the offi cials of the Jay County Fair Association. CAR REGULATIONS: 1. Any front engine, hard-top or station wagon is allowed. No trucks, jeeps, carry-alls, or four-wheel drive cars, etc. 2. Safety belts, approved helmets, and protective eye wear are required and must be worn. Shoulder harness are recommended. No radio communications with driver during derby. 3. All glass including windshield, headlights, tail lights, mirrors, etc. must be removed. Car must be swept clean of all dirt and loose pieces. ALL THIS WORK must be done BEFORE ENTERING JAY COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS. 4. A maximum of fi ve (5) gallons of gas will be permitted. The gas tank must be removed, and in the back seat area of the car. Both the tank and line must have an approved fi re wall or fi reproof cover between the cover and the tank. No plastic or boat tanks are to be used unless they are safety approved type. 5. No special bumpers, trailer hitches, or reinforcements will be permitted. Bumpers ends ma be removed by cutting or unbolting. No sharp edges. No chaining or changing of the suspension will be allowed; neither will welding to any spring or support. Car must be level (Factory stock). 6. FULL SIZE CARS ONLY: Minimum of 110 inch wheel base. FOR COMPACT CARS ONLY: Maximum of 103 inch wheel base, 4 cylinder engines or V6 only. 7. Fuel lines ran inside or out side of car, preferred inside through fi re wall, with double line, with regular fi ttings or welded fi ttings. No holes in to tank with tube shoved in it. NO COMPACT HEAT ON SATURDAY 8. Gas tank must be strapped down with steel straps or wire only, no ratchet straps or bungee straps allowed. 9. Cars are allowed to have distributors protectors attached to motor only. 10. Cars are allowed transmission coolers but have to be mounted under hood of car only lines and fi ttings must be approved by offi cials (not inside of car). 11. Doors should be covered and padded on the inside. 12. There is to be no spinner on the steering wheel. 13. Driver may maneuver forward or backward. No deliberate head-on collisions or hitting on the driver’s door. 14. It will be permitted for a car to cross over the boundary line, if necessary, but driver must bring vehicle to a complete stop, after re-entering the boundary line before proceeding to participate in the event. 15. All doors must be fastened shut by no more than four (4) strands of number nine (9) wire or chain. No welding accepted. 16. Stacks allowed. 17. Hood and trunk lids may be held down by chain or wire. No more than four (4) strands of number nine (9) wire providing the wire or chain attached to sheet metal. If chained, a quick release is required on the hood or trunk. Upon request, the hood and trunk must be opened in a matter of seconds during inspection, prior to the event. 18. All chrome and decorative ornaments must be removed from the outside of the car. Protruding fenders and/or tail light fi ns must be cut off or bent off. No packing or creasing of the tops, backs, or any other part of the car. You can bend protruding parts but that is all. 19. Drivers must stay in cars. Do not leave car unless told to do so by an offi cial or until the last car is stopped. 20. If any emergency arises during the event, all cars will be stopped. If any car must be moved to allow emergency equipment to operate, then all cars must be moved to their original starting positions to resume heat. If it is unnecessary to move any cars during an emergency then the heat will restart from present positions. 21. Batteries must be moved inside the car, but not near the gas tank. The battery must be securely fastened to the car and covered with a suitable shield. 22. Radiator must remain in original position. Any vehicle visibly leaking fuel will be disqualifi ed. 23. Both front door panels and top of car should be painted with assigned number before entering Jay County Fairgrounds. 24. Cars must have brakes before beginning of heat, 25. Additional safety regulations may be applied the day of the derby or prior to time of derby due to track conditions. 26. Any driver protesting another car must do so at driver’s meeting. 27. Top car number: if car is dark, paint white number. If light, paint black number. No more than three numbers/letters per car number. 28. A 12 inch fl ap hole in the hood for fi re protection is permitted. 29. You may chain or weld your motor mounts for safety reasons. 30. A bar placed behind driver’s seat for driver safety( may be welded in with 12 by 12 square plate. Weld on both ends of bar to car no thicker than 1/2 plates may be used. 31. Frame must remain stock. Absolutely no fi llers inside or added reinforcements outside frame. Do not weld frame seams. 32. Bumpers may be welded to the shock, and to the frame only, no metal may be added, stock bumpers only, you also can add # 9 wire or chain to the bumper to hold in its place. 33. You can install new bolts and washers in body mounts, no larger than 1/2 bolts or no larger than 3”OD washers allowed. 34. NO Crown Victoria Fords, or Lincolns with altered frames allowed. 35. No bending or packing of car will be allowed. 36. You can put the trunk lid inside of the trunk. But you can not bend it or reshape the lid. DERBY OFFICIALS SHALL INSPECT CAR BEING PROTESTED WITH THE PERSON FILLING THE PROTEST. DERBY OFFICIAL’S DECISION SHALL BE FINAL! PROTESTING AGAINST WINNER’S CAR ONLY. A CAR MAY BE PROTESTED FOR NOT COMPLYING WITH THE CAR REGULATIONS. This must be done verbally within fi ve minutes of completion of event and in writing within one hour. A $50 protest fee must be submitted at time of verbal protest to any derby offi cial. If the car being protested is illegal, the party protesting will be returned his $50 fee. The driver of the illegal car shall forfeit any winnings or feature event position. If the car being protested is legal, the driver of the car shall keep the $50 proterst money. DERBY OFFICIALS CAN PROTEST ANY CAR FOR WRITTEN AND VERBAL RULE VIOLATIONS WITHOUT PROTEST FEE.

welp i'll get pictures of the car tomorrow its too dark but i got my 5.13 gears in the rear end and boy are them fun , also got the car painted black still waiting on my radiator hose from napa needing to get a good set of tires on it and might do a double nuckle stearing shaft on it if there is time we will see picts to come

the derby was fun got 5th in my heat and first one out in the consi had a broken motor mount and i didn't want to push it anymore
