yea im not sure how well the 6.4 was liked but the 6.0 was a flop. Ive driven an '01 with the 7.3 and an '03 with the 6.0 and the 6.0 had alot more power, but alot alot alot more problems. and yes i do agree the newest ones are kinda ugly. at first i wasnt a fan of the 09 f-150s but ours has really grown on me. i think the front fenders and the hood are too short...they especially look dumb on the 3/4 ton & 1 ton. my dad is wanting to replace our 2000 chevy dually (7.4 vortec) because its a load when pulling our water tanks for the sprayer (about 3100 gallons) with a diesel. he would like a ford but doesnt want to risk it with the 6.0 diesel so he was thinking about a dodge. just go buy derricks old one That was a good truck. only 43,000 miles on it. You should go buy it Travis.

14.5-15. About as good as it will get without doing the emissions deletes. Not bad for a dually really though.

Alright thanks. we're lookin to get a diesel farm pickup now and my dad had been looking at dodges. Found an 08 F450 with the 6.4 with 46k on it but sounds like they don't get anything for mileage. 9-12.5. They also have a 4.88 rear though. We were also looking at the new 6.7 ford came out with but that requires diesel exhaust fluid which freezes at 12 degrees and the dodge uses a filter instead.

My brother has an 02 ford duelly with the 6.0 liter diesil. Truck has been put through hell and never let him down. He has put 130,000 very hard miles on it. It regularly pulls a massive dump trailor full of shingles weighing any where from 2 to 10 tons right through our muddy hilly landfill.

thats not bad at all what do you get towing Last derby trip over to Mott, North Dakota with the 67 imperial loaded on the trailer and the box of the truck loaded with about 1100 pounds of welder, tools, axles, etc I got 13 MPG's at 65-70 mph. Pulling my enclosed 16ft trailer with 2 4 wheelers in it I get 12.5 on the interstate at 77 mph, but that thing is like pulling a brick. Lots of wind on the front of the enclosed. But if it wasn't for the mileage drop, you'd never really know either load was behind you. The new diesels have power to spare and even on the long hills, it never came out of 6th gear. Looking at a 40 ft toyhauler gooseneck to camp and take the four wheelers. From what I gather, guys with similar trucks running all stock are getting 8-10 mpg. Not bad considering some of those guys are pulling 10,000-12,000 or more.

Thats what I was thinking. I may do the deletes sometime down the road. I am not a huge fan of dpf's and crap.
