I had someone PM me on Youtube after watching some of my videos and he was wondering if I could give him some tips to build his first full size car. Its a 1972 Plymouth Fury with a 318 in it. Heres a link to his channel www.youtube.com/user/derbykid911. I told him the basics and such and told him to either read on wecrash or more preferably come here for help. Anyway heres the rules (some of the more strict that I've seen): stoneyroberts.com/set1rules.pdf

annoyingfeatures the first link now works. it was taking the period i had at the end of the sentence as part of the link. and yes they are pretty strict cant weld bumper shocks cant have fuel pump in the driver compartment and a limit on cranking power of the battery-never heard of that one before

yea well i dont have a choice but to have my pump in the drivers compartment im just gonna have to put it under my cover with the gas tank so ill see what they say about that. they keep the battery crankage down because they want it to be stock as possible. but a way to get around the bumper shock welding is to collapse them but when you chain the trunk go aorund the bumper to keep it as tight as possible which is what im gonna do

I told him to get a Codova rear bumper. Thats what I ran with real good luck. He wants a softer bumper. So I said post 76 would work. Plus a million other options. I may have gave him bad info. I said hard nose. Because it said nothing about mount it directly to the frame. Man I'm just glad I don't have to build to those rules. Nice web site etownrdnck. I followed your post from you-tube. I'm kgilroy25 from Arizona. Just here to help if I can. See yah.

I would not recommend anyone to run cordoba bumpers my dad had a 76 stock and it inverted in one hit to the front of my Monte. A rear shocker bumper would work great if u can collapse the ys
