we always run champion and have always been told to but i guess personal preference

in a derby application we also always run a size big for heat reasons... but i also run big blocks

if it's a road car then yes you want champion plugs cuz to hot of plug will damage the newer mopar motors but these older 318's can take a beating and keep going lol ;D

Not real familiar with mopar.I have a 318 truck I use for my trailer last truck was a 360 what are some things I can do to get more out of my engine?Can the cranks be swapped or is there more to it?The 360 motor burns alot of oil and the 318 don't burn any well taken care of ex Dot truck.

put the heads and intake off the 360 and put on the 318 i have read that this makes those motors ripp and a 2bbl gm carb on it

No, 360's are externally balanced and 318's are internally balanced. So if you do any trans swapping between the two, make sure you use the correct torque converter with each motor as well. The 360 torque converter will have the little weights welded onto it.

Thanks for that... I blew the tranny last week and was gonna take the one outa the 360 truck and put it into the 318 after derby season was done...

Just use the correct converter or if you are using the 318 for a motor, you can knock the weights off. If you are using the 360 motor you can also by the weld on weight kit for the converter.
