I'm going to make one out of plywood and 2x4's see how that works. thats what ive heard works best...dont have to worry about the plastic breaking or the metal causing a short

rough cut wood works good to hmmm maybe i should go this route...i have a pile of rough cut hemlock,and it is a good point about the batt. shorting out(from pipesrmylife) I normally rap seat belt around the outside with duck tape or screws so the sides dont blow out

i use a battery box out of a boat with the snap on cover and strap the battery down and then strap the cover down on top works well for me

here fordlord this is waht it looks like. i but a metal strap over the battery inside the box adn then put one over the box itself with the cover on it Attachments:

idk someone gave me a boat so i kept the trailer adn it was full of old fishing stuff with two battery boxes which i kept this one and a clear one with out a lid but i never thought to get the gas tank since i didnt need it for my first car. but now im regreating it

I make mine out if 2x2-8thinch angle with 8 2 inch 2x2-8th inch tabs welded on the out side's 2 per side then 1/2 inc all thread cut at about 12-15 inches and a peice of flat stock with holes drilled in it to hold battery in place thats nutted on topand then i use a old floor mat to cover it with.
