How did you set up the ass of this thing. I've had the best luck with these old mopars blowing a half dollar size hole all the way thru the frame right in front of the bumper brackets, then after the heat, about a nickle size hole right behind the hump. in the heat just bump a few doors with the ass and get it to start coming up then blow your smaller hole behind the hump and go to town with both ends till she wont move no more. Good luck with her she looks bad azzz.

the reason I say double notch is because the way you have the trunk set up its gonna put alot of pressure on the humps. and the humps in these cars is a big weak spot. if you do the notch behind the hump it relieves some of that pressure. that and chain the humps down really tight. that helps also. Some of the 78 and 79 newports had double frame in the back like the cordobas. check it and see. if it does it will be much stronger.

Right now He has some engine issues.I talked to him on facebook last night.Said he had it starting hard and a slight miss.
"ok guys my BBM cranks really slow for some reason, it has a brand new starter on it and timing is set perfect, it used to not crank slow but just started to do that last weekend, needing ideas of what it could be...... also it is missing, I assumed it was either a vacuum leak or a fouled plug so i siliconed my vacuum lines shut and changed plugs and it still does it, it sounds fine when its in gear but when i put it in park or neutral you can hear the miss, ideas? the derby is only about 2 weeks out and swapping drivetrains is out of the question for me... I have yet to swap out the timing chain so could this be the issue for both? Id like to get this figured out ASAP"
