is this a good ideal. my lines got bent last year but i dont want to lose my tranny. what are the pros and cons for doing this and does anyone recommend this

That was one of the first things i was taught when i started derbing i use rubber 3/8 line but i am going with a solid steel line now after blowing mine this year 13 years of derbing and that was the first time i blew one it is a must i think.

Have you been running them up to your radiator in the past? I would loop them for sure....or better yet, loop them with a cooler mounted inside the car. Cheap and easy to do.

yea i have been running them like stock to the rad and back to the tranny but im putting a second run on my car and i want to prevent from getting knocked out but i also dont want to burn my tranny up

I would rather have mine looped than have it run to the stock rad. Mostly Everyone around where I live runs a cooler inside the car though. Just get some hydralic hose and run it back to a cooler or ammo box or whatever you can find and fill it with ice. Inside either coil up a bunch of copper hose or else most people use the condensor out of the heater core. Or I've heard of taking the same idea with the hoses and the condensor and putting an electric fan on it.

Do you use solid line or rubber? I've used both scooter I used copper lines with compress fittens and I've used 3/8s rubber line they both have worked great for me

i've looped lines and worked good till i tried it on an f150,got hot.prefer tranny cooler ,if allowed to use

It all depends on where you are running. If heat isn't going to last more than 10 minutes,, then you should be fine with out a cooler. I run a cooler whenever possible,,, except our stock shows,,,,,,,,they only allow your cooler to be in the stock location. When I loop my tranny I use a 12 inch hydraulic hose. I have had a couple of them made and they are nice to have around for testing cars or just to put on a tranny thats gonna sit a while.

i run in md in the end of july early august. and we have had our heats last for like 30 mins but if i use a foot of hose i should be good then

imo..there are so many variables,how old is tranny,fluid,how hard you drive,tires,motor temp ect...... good luck
