It is a stoney show but due to the crappy rules my buddy cant run his car because of the headers and the the wedge job on his preran car and some of the extra plate i said he can run the car i was going to because it was his car in the first place.
So I have some questions for you guys
1. would the car be likely to pass inspection with solid suspension all the way around for franks show the bumper height said max was 24 and the only way we could get the front up was to weld the a-arms down. And it was 24 inches to the top nto the middle and that was with 7.50-15 14 ply forklift tires. 235-75-15 will go on the frotn 225-75-15 for the back because of the 4 ply rules.
2. I seen etowns pic of his shock getting broke and the rear spring flying out we dotn want this to happen and the suspension on the rear of this car is 15 to the center of the bumper which he said he thinks thats to low so he put in his all thread shocks to raise it up some.
3. Hard-nosing and creasing he wants to know if he can hard-nose and iff they will allow shocks back in the frame or just have to weld a plate to the frame. Creasing is it okay to crease and tuck at this show. One last thing the trunks so rotted its ridiculous there's no trunk floor period so we were going to stick a ltd trunk lid down inside the trunk just to be able to bolt the body to the frame.
4. It says that the firewall cant be moved or deleted does this mean he cant cut a hole for the distributor.
5. He wants to know if he only runs a seat bar is it possible to run the 9 wire from frame to roof as protection but also the fact of keeping it form bellying.
Any help would be great guys thanks

no solid suspension, weld teh plate to frame but if they cant see shocks o well and creasing is allowed and tuck is ok..... did he recieve the new and updated rules best bet is to call frank and ask cause shows vary from point to point

1.Absolutely no solid suspension! This is the First thing they check and one of the main things they check.I've seen cars not run for rags in the shocks. You can get front end height a couple different ways.1 small tires on rear.Tall on front.2. smaller coil springs in rear.3.Heavier coil spring on the front with a small coil in the rear.4.Let air out of rear tires. Also improves traction.
2.Again all thread is solid suspension. The answer to this question is to A.Weld a small pipe to the top of your rear end so the spring stays in a lot easier. B. discreetly put a small mechanics wire on the back side and not overdue it.Only purpose is to keep spring kinda from kicking sideways from no tension being put on the spring.
3.Hard nosing is hit and miss with these guys.Etown can do it but I cannot. There are different techs up here and down his way. Some are the same. Usually its done without the shock though. If you call Frank about hard nosing he will say no.It's up to you how you want to do this one.How lucky are your dice?If it's something not major they may let you pass on it.If something like stuffing rags they will say remove them or don't run.Basically if you can fix it on the spot. But not something that's obvious overkill or cheating. You can say stuff like the car had no shocks so I had no other way to put the bumper on because the bumper was in the trunk when I got it etc. Sorry to say if you put that trunk lid in the trunk like that they will NOT allow it.Best to call Frank on this one to see what your options are here.
4.Firewall can be cut for the distributor.Just put a rubber floor mat over the hole with some wire or something to cover the hole from a fire etc.
5.Seat bar from A Pillar to B pillar can be done only on drivers side.No bars from front to rear on passenger side.I have to take mine out for the next show... You can wire it to the frame but not to overdue it.I don't know about to the roof. But I know drivers door is pretty much open to reinforcement.

Thanks for the help so far guys
Got some extra pictures
We went to his storage shed he kept saying were going to go pick up his frank kit. So here it is. It consists of a couple SS rims for the front due to him only having illegal tires on small bolt rims he has two small bolt rims that don't have stuffed or aggressive tread so these will be for the back and we will take the others just in case a flat happens.
The first set fo springs are for a 96 chevy 2wd he bought these to raise the front fo his driver truck back up but he was hit and the frame got bent so he basically gave up on fixing a tru ck with a bent frame were thinkign these go on the back these are some stiff springs.
These springs are for a 72 big block caddy bought 2 years ago to run at one of franks shows 4 hours away just never got around to it.
Other than this little bump in the road he'll call frank on the patch rule for the trunk other than that we have all the threaded rod to switch the body bolts. We are sure it will be okay to swap these because we've seen it done on 4 cars that have ran at his shows two different times.
