I Hate ppl like this...
Police say they've never seen a man get angry at his wife quite like this and tonight we have the video that police say proves it. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says their suspect took out his anger on dozens of demolition derby cars all because one man was angry with his wife.
"He believed somebody at that business was having an affair with his wife," Chief Deputy Robert Hetzke said. "Him and his wife were going through some marital issues."
Hetzke says the suspect is "Fagner. It's Micheal Fagner." He lives in Lyons. Police records show he's faced at least one domestic violence complaint against his wife before. This time police say he took out his anger on 30 demolition derby cars.
"The demolition derby part of it was different," Hetzke said. "The number of vehicles was definitely different than the normal domestic dispute."
The damage here is pretty impressive. Police say Fagner took a backhoe and smashed down most of the roofs on most of these cars. One one he went a little bit further when he took the backhoe and flipped the car altogether. There are a total of seven victimes. We tried to reach them today but many were out of town and not home. Most had nothing to do with Fagner's marriage issues but now they're out $1,500 a car.
"So it was money taken out of their pocket even if they weren't involved in the domestic dispute," Hetzke said. "The damage to the vehicles damaged them also."
Fagner is accused of causing about $40,000 in damage. He is out on $5,000 bail. We went to the address in Lyons that he gave the sheriff's office, but it ended up being an abandoned store front and we didn't anyone inside or any access to the apartments upstairs.
