Some fwds from the late 80s were still carbed. Not sure on the cut off years, but I think the Accords were pretty late in the 80s, I think Toyotas were mid 80s, etc. Depends on the car, but I don't think there are many or any in the 90s.

The 84 or 85 subaru wagon my uncle has for this year is carbed as well. Never done it myself but have been told that the injected GM 2.5s are pretty easy to convert to a carb, there was a guy on wecrash selling a kit to do it when I was looking into doing it with a grand am. So there you go convert a mid 90s Grand Am to carbed that shouldn't be too hard to find

It was Puttzer on wecrash I was going to get the carb pump etc. from. Not sure if he has any now but I'm sure he would have the info on what you need to do it. The other option would be a inline pump out of a efi subaru or ford truck they would have enough pressure to run anything efi and could be used with your tank. Only exceptions would be cars with the pressure regulator in the tanks. neons and newer camrys are the only ones I have found so far.

okay thanks so as long as I have a inline fuel pump then I can run a boat tank and that'll work on a 95 cavy I know where theres one.

As long as your pump has as much or more pressure than the car needs yes. Cavaliers have the standard main/return set up and the extra fuel will just recirculate back to the tank. My subaru pump has been ran in a efi grand marquis, ranger, and is currently sitting in a beretta.

You can't beat a 2.3 Ford. Find up to a mid 80's Mustang or Fairmont. Toyota Corollas were carb at least to 88. I just worked on a Chevy Nova, same car.

My 88 Accord was carbed. That car was a little tank, folded up very nicely, but the rear suspension parts seem kinda weak.

Ball joints suck, but I always run solid suspension in the rear so I just weld them up. With a good front bumper they are very tough. The last 3 years all I have ran with the acception of 1 pos tempo were hondas and fwd gms ;D

A 88-89 Celebrity came out with a carb, COMPLETE JUNK!!! We tried running one, and yeah, it lasted 5 derbies, but my gawd!! Glad that thing went off to the junker, it didn't win us anything except the knowing of never getting a carbed FWD ever again for minis! LOL
