the way we do it around here, is pound the whole back panel in on each side, it prevents it from goin up or down to badly so it makes it pack in nicely usually

a tight car is a hard car, and more creases equil strength, I use a metal brake at work to make things out of aluninum, a flat piece is flimsy like paper the more bends you put in it the stronger it becomes

A professional fabricator once told me that when you hit metal with a ballpeen hammer it expands the molecules in the steel making it harder

I have noticed that creasing and ball peaning work a lot better after the doors are welded and fenders are bolted.

this is my first time, its on a pre ran but i just wanted to see if i could do it. I will def be doing this on my cars from now on if its allowed

A professional fabricator once told me that when you hit metal with a ballpeen hammer it expands the molecules in the steel making it harder I heard the same thig about welds, its called peening your welds. You lay down a bead then hit it with a ball peen hammer till it cools a little. Its supposed to make your welds way stronger.
