I don't know if it was the right way to do it but it worked my one buddy and I took a komalong wrapped chain around the humps so we could hook the hooks in then we started cranking until we saw the humps start to come in then we took a log chain wrapped it around the humps and tighten it down with 5/8 threaded rod so it was tight (you could play a tune on it lol) thats how we did it it worked the humps didn't blow out like I said don't know if it was the right way but it worked

I have had it explained to me 3 times, with 3 different ways... I am yet to understand it. Never seen it in person.

i am just taking a swing at it but i think you run a chain around where the frame starts to flatten out behind the humps right?
if so then take a come along like hardhitinu said and wrap a chain or #9wire around the frame rails and tighten the chain or #9wire as tight as you can get it
i have ALSO heard of going from the drivers side hump to the passanger side of the rearend axle tube and from the passanger side hump to the drivers side axle tube but this will also mess with your ride height so be carefull on how tight you make the chain/wire/cable
anyone else heard of another way of doing this???

So the purpose of chaining the humps is too keep the frame from blowing sideways into the back wheels?

So the purpose of chaining the humps is too keep the frame from blowing sideways into the back wheels? you got it if the hump blows out into the tire then your tire rubs blows them then no traction thats the idea of chaining the humps.
