As you can see i took this pic from my new speedway catalog.Has anyone ever used this camera before?I would like to see some video from it to see the quality.The price is only$200 for the entire kit(roll bar mount is extra $30)

Try searching youtube or google the name of that camera. I'm sure somebody has uploaded a video using it somewhere online.
Does it say this camera is made for motorsports, or impacts?

Does it say this camera is made for motorsports, or impacts? yeah for motorsports,,,and with the optional rollbar mount, it would prob. be ok for derby...you figure how bump and go racing is...not really hard impacts all the time,but definitely some contact.

Sounds like it should work. Just give it enough cushion when mounting it.

I just bought one of those. Won't be in a derby to test it for a couple months yet though. I watched a clip from a dirt series race where the car with the cam rolled over a couple times, it recorded the whole roll over so i think it should do ok in a derby as long as the mount is sound. Don't think I'll be useing the suction cup mount come derby time either.lol

Go pro HD hero is the only way to go I have 2 and the footage is sweet! search demoderbyusa.com on you tube and you can see some clips 2010 videos have the camera. Here's a hit in my truck from this year www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUd6HbCK-Uc
