I only do this to tires i dont get stuffed. A spinning flat tire is better than a rim spinning inside the tire. However if you plan using the tires or rims again only put the screws on the inside of the rim, smashed screws are not easy to get out and tire machines dont like them either.

I have a set of 14's that are screwed rims are bent bad but still holding in their and they only have tubes in them.

I don't have any pics but its pretty easy, Use a small drill bit,,, drill several hole in the back side of the rim,,,,, be careful not to drill into tire. Put screws in holes,, i use 1/2 - 3/4 inch hex head sheet metal screws. Make sure your screws are short enough that they dont go all the way through your tire bead.

i did my burban,the first round blew tire off rim but the screws still caught the flat sidewall...lol i dbl stuffed then rescrewed them still workn good.

That is one good thing about the screws with flats.
