I bought a stripped camper trailer frame last weekend gonna build a car trailer out of it. its a 22ft, which means I can put 2 4 bangers on it(already measured theyll fit). this is when I got it It needs some serious bracing put in, so i took a length of 8" channel iron and split it down the middle and welded that to the inside of the box frame rails. then started adding some 4" I beam crossmembers in. Also moved the axles back one foot. I think Im gonna do a spring over on the axles and run smaller tires then Ill be able to have a full 8' wide deck. ]

I was gonna say that a car trailer isn't to expensive, but only having a hundred bucks into that much of it so far....well, you are way ahead of the game. Keep us posted on it. Good luck man, you just don't see enough people doing this kinda stuff any more. So you gonna register it as homemade......or as a camper trailer? LOL

not sure how im gonna register it yet. Mass has some very stupid rules about it. they say if it has a gvw of over 3000 then it needs a DOT inspection, but i think theres ways around that. I have all the rest of the steel im gonna need to finish it. then i need wood for the deck, tires and some lights. I have a winch Im gonna put on it, no more using a come-a-long for me.
