so if i find some shock mounts... ill have to drill holes in the box frame??? should i sleeve the holes that i will drill to keep it from bending at the holes. i think on monday or tuesday ill go to a salvage yard and look for some shock mounts. ill give it a try... thanks for the advice helm024j. keep it coming

from the looks of it you may be able to use your existing frame holes.but yes if you can sleve ur holes it will help a bunch,use as thick a wall as possible.your welcome good luck

i cant weld bumper seams or reinforce the bumper... only pre ran cars can have the bumpers welded to the supports Weld your bumper and make your car look like a pre-ran car. Thats what I would do.

would the I beam style shocks work good for this aplication... i would think that they would be better than the original bumper

would the I beam style shocks work good for this aplication... i would think that they would be better than the original bumper yes better than original but not good, worst bumper shocks out there imo.... get a set of mopar shocks if u can and weld them on the side, if u cant swap make shocks then get a set of 80s style shocks... just fill the gaps with weld

its gunna be awhile before i can get to that good of a junkyard... the ones close are very limited due to the junk yard owners bein very picky about what parts are for sale.... but ill look

dont forget to look for whole cars,you may get lucky and find something cheep get ur parts and scrap the rest and make some money.good luck

i cant take in any more cars on my property or the place i store my cars.. i have a 59 ford 300 minus the front bumper, a 60's pre run fury with one run left in it, a 76 merc marquie, 50-51 chevy coupe, 72 kingswood 400, would anything really work off of any of them???

THose will work as long as you either collapse them and weld or cut the I-beam and weld the square mounting plate to the front of them.
