insurance is the most important and the hardest thing to get.all the waivers in the world wont keep you from being sued.then copy some rules u like and get them out.you need all the publicity you can get, find your inspectors and flagmen are very important.make sure they dont have any problems with any drivers that may show at ur event.this is just the begining of a big pain in the a** but it is cool watching something you created

Way to much work..........some time I wonder why I promote...lol. I have a good partner tho, he takes care of all the paper work and deals with the fairboards, and I write the rules and take care of the inspection end of it.......... ;D

Gotta pay the fire department and if you have on site ambulance. Electric bill for lighting. Tickets and people to sell tickets / inforce gate entrance. Hire all the trucks / tractors that clean the arena after each heat. Find an announcer.
And most important.... Pray for damn good weather after all that work!!
