o ok. i would take your front bumper off and flip your bumper shocks so the front bumper will sit higher and protect the front end

Do everything your rules allow to the max. Think about making a large heavy tray to put your gas tank on,, bolt tray to floor really well, weld bars from seat bar down to tray. This will provide you some extra body mounts that will help to keep the car from bellying. I even do this with the tranny cooler and battery box. It also make it easy to pull your tank and stuff back out,,, cuz you don't have to get under car to unbolt. And if your rules allow any down bars from the cage add them for sure.

Best way for me to help is if you can post your rules I can scan them for the gray ares and help you use them.

flip that bumper upside down or itll go to the ground, pontiacs are good for that, double notch the frame too, one isnt enough imo, make sure ur cage and halo bar are good if allowed cuz the door pillars arent 70s model on these cars so there weak, and id take the back bumper off too imo its just unneeded stress on the already weak 80s gm humps, definately pound in the back quarters too if allowed.... thats all for now until u get the rules out

leave the back bumper on, as long as you notch the frame you will be fine. If you take the back bumper off your frame rails will go where ever they want. pound the trunk and quarters down straight across right above your notch if you are worried about the humps.
