yea well if i could find a good front bumper i would use it but the aluminum bumper i have would make things worse

well worked on the old girl again today cleaned her out removed my fuel cell cover and found out the tank was loose and fixed that but i also need to replace the lines there starting to crack also removed the front sway bar to prevent it from hitting the crank pulley

probably but i removed it so if the fron noses it wont hit the crank pulley

well the tires i was gonna put on my 89 vic are gonna go on this vic becasue they dont wet the track down as much so dont wanna waste my good tires for mud on it besides cant run 6 ply the derby the 89 is going to but ill put them on the car this weekend and post pics also

removeing the sway bar is a good idea because them my vic nosed up it hit the pully and it wouldnt crank lossen it up and it fired rite up. i ran it in 2 more rounds after that lol

yea i got the wheels on today but need to make more clearence on the one side so gonna do that this week in between my college graduation and all lol got two weeks till it gets derbied

well i did get around to doing the wheel clearnece today didnt think i would but o well so now both sides have good clearence now all thats left to do is get thicker cable for the hood and get the fuel line and think im gonna make a better hold down for my fuel cell if i get around to it

I think your strap should be fine if it's tight. My 5/16 all thread holds my 16 gallon tank in fine.My shield weighs a ton its like 1/8 or so thick.Shield probably weights 50-75 lbs.I put those extensions on my cross bar to keep tank from sliding forwards and also to transfer some weight to the rear.
