Looks like the main problem from last year was front bumper height? Going to get it higher this year?

Are you allowed to put the trunk lid inside the trunk? That would help a LOT with this setup. Also, are you allowed a rear window bar?

im sure were allowed a rear window barbut i have to call the promotor to make sure
i would put the trunk inside but i broke the one sides hinge so i just beat it down and chained it shut since we cant weld on the trunk

I would do one of 2 things.
1. (best choice) I would put that trunk lid inside the trunk, and push the trunk sides in, pinching it in place under the rain lip. When the rear frame start rolling in, this trunk lid will stiffen up and slow it down from packing in as quick. If you keep the trunk lid on top, once the frame starts going up, the lid will bend away from the trunk.
2. Run a rear window bar from the roof, to the back edge of the trunk lid...helping hold it down in place and stiffen the trunk when it rolls in.

DM is absolutely correct. Something else I would suggest, just based on your pics, is to compress your bumper shocks and weld them (rules permitting). It will just draw it all together and help the rear end fold the way you want it to.

ok thanks guys but im not allowed to weld the bumper shocks Welding really isn't nessesary, just another precaution. If you drill a hole on each side of the shock, you will see the pressure release and white foam come out. Then use a wood block and hammer, drive the piston in. Should stay put. Note: I would highly suggest you leave the bumper bolted on. Some guys will take it off, compress the shocks and then see the bumper doesn't match up. Keeping it on and driving both sides in at the same time will keep that from happening. Spraying them with PB blaster and WD-40 will greatly help you out too. Good luck, should be a tough car for another year!

Only thing I would suggest for this type of show is,,,Now that its pre ran, you should be aloud more chain or wire. I think 9 wire is cheaper and easier to use, but I'm not sure if your rules allow wire. Either way, the key to no weld shows is keeping the body tight to the frame. Add as much chain or wire around the frame and body as possibble.

well i called the promotor and he said were not aloud to wedge our cars. he said something that if the lock for the trunk is below the latch then its a reinforcement. seems kinds stupid to me but o well ill have to pull it back out and figure something else out
