Well I always believe one of the best ways to learn in this sport, is from other peoples mistakes or losses. So here is your chance to be open (ashamed or not) and admit what broke or took you out on each of your cars. Hopefully this will help others think of a couple things to double-check before their next derby.

First derby car rear frame bend down to the ground and eventually wasn't able to get traction. Raced car again the next week and got caught up with another car and we both got out. Second car, was teamed up on in feature and put up on the wall. All was fair though, I put 2 cars on the wall just before that ;D This past car, if you saw my videos on YouTube, had roundback wagon up in my trunk and eventually caused too much stress on my engine mounts lugging him up and down the track. Eventually the rightside broke, engine rocked, hitting the oil filter and puncturing a small pin sized hole. Had to shut down, oil spraying out

I have had steering take me out in a couple big shows, worst was was breaking my own stick,,, because throttle was stuck wide open. Ended up with 5th,,, wish I would have just let her eat. Was just a stock 350, just panicked I guess. Car still had a lot left. Also been takin out by broken axles, getting hung up, and an accidental drivers door hit on a girl.

Alright I guess i'll throw mine on here as well. First year I lost because it was a bone stock car and the fuel line ripped out along with the tranny crossmember... Ran the car again same year and had the reverse go out in tranny, then snapped driveshaft in half. Also blew apart both frames under passenger and driver doors. 2nd year I had a wire short out with the Fuel Injection system going to the coil. 3rd year I got out because the tranny burnt up, blew a seal and ran out of fluid. 4th year I got out because my battery cable caught fire, due to bad mounting location on floor. Ran the consi and ripped hole in oil pan from steering. Ran another derby that year and got out because broke the rear axle and/or shattered rearend gears. Lets see what 2011 brings
