Demolition Missions Derby Website

I have started experimenting with making a website for myself. Hopefully if things continue to go good I might have it online and running by winter.

What i'm wanting is some input from you guys, what are some features and things you would want to see on my website?

So far a few features in mind are:

Videos section: With a breakdown of each one of our Seasons videos and all the events I filmed. Should be a lot easier to sort through all my videos and find ones you want.

Pictures section: Random pictures behind the scenes with our crew, the builds and other cool derby action pictures from events I go to.

Car Class section: This will be a breakdown talking about each type of derby class, bone stock, stock, limited weld, modified, full weld, outlaw, etc. This will be helpful for drivers to find out what there rules closest match to.

Contest Info page: This explains itself. Holds info for current and past contests / winners.

Events section: Listing upcoming events that I will be filming, driving in, or pitting at. Also contains links to all past events I have filmed, with details of each event listed.

Vehicles section: Now this area will take some time to do, but hopefully worthwhile. In here I will have every car I have ever put in a derby. Each car will have its own page where you can see before and after pictures from each derby it was in. Results of what broke on it after each run, pictures of the broken parts, Stats on the car itself. What style of engine, rules built to, notched, etc. Still coming up with ideas for what would all be in this section. Let me know if you have thoughts on this section.

And several other sections as well. But I don't want to give all the secrets away yet.

Sounds cool Mitch! I've been planning out one for our race team as well. Plan to do it myself, should be interesting. I look forward to seeing your website and I hope that you get it looking as professional as your YouTube channel!

Thanks, I plan to keep the same color scheme between youtube and the website. I hope to make it professional, but still keep a bit of fun and relaxed setting as well. This will be my first fully designed website for online that i've done. Others were just class based projects.
I might post a few screenshots of the work as it comes along. Altogether it will have about 40+ webpages.

Been busy working through different ideas on the webpages. Started research on buying a domain name and getting copyrights set up.

Heres a sneak peek of one of the pages. Still have plenty more pages to design, but I figure I mise as well work on it now before summer hits and i'm busy with the cars instead.

To an extent. Mine won't have forums or such. It will mainly be for my video works and getting others involved in the sport. A website of precise documentation of each of my car builds to help others learn more about building that kind of car and apply the ideas to other vehicles.

Thanks Scott, I will have more news on it later this summer. I have the webpages all done now. About 34 pages in all. I'm currently looking at domain name ownership and getting copyrights setup for it.

Yep, its about that time of the year. I noticed things are a lot slower on here and even on wecrash. I will still be on about every other day though, along with my updates in the build progress section.

I think you should get pics of other peoples car builds as well that way people can see more of a verity of builds like full weld, no weld, semi weld stuff like that

I do plan on running several different kinds of events over time.

As for getting pictures with other peoples car builds, it would be a nice feature but too many problems involved with it. Not many people are willing to take detailed pictures of the whole build of a car, then everytime people had questions about those cars they would ask me and I wouldn't have answers.

i thought about doing a couplet how to build form start to Finnish but something we do we don't wont people knowing who we are .. we might do something like this some time and try to keep are identify out of public eye it would piss some people off. not that we cant take care of are self .it would start some trouble around here!!!!!

Yea I get negative attitude from some derby drivers for what I do, but I usually just ignore them.
