Yea definitely prebend the back trunk upwards. Once the trunk bends up into that tucked lid, then try to V the trunk into someone elses front corner on the track. Just like people try to do with the trunks of fords after they pack in. Compacts are fun. You think your only going to build a simple bone stock compact, but then ya just keeping adding more

Ok guys here are some more pics, I got her all painted except for my numbers, I'm runnin 158 on this car cause it is half of 316. I got all the holes cut for the chains and I got a pretty good notch cut where I want it to bend in the back. I'll try to bend it up with the come along later this week. The derby is a week from tommorrow.

Looks very nice with the body on the rear. That should work well, but you need that back bumper tilted upwards for sure. I chained my rear frame down and put a jack underneath to make the frame go up.

Ya I am gonna pre bend it up this week. I will either hook the comealong to the rear bar on the cage and thru the window to the bumper and tilt it up that way, or when I get it on the trailer do what you suggest and when I get tied down jack up on the bumper. Thanks for the input, this is a total expiriment for me. I never really had the urge to run one of these little cars. I am addicted to the roar and power of the big cars. But I am pretty exited about this one. It should be a ton of fun wrapped up in a small package.

Here is what is left of the Tempo, It held up pretty good. I think I need to learn to drive backwards more. The back was rolling in perfect then I got mad and started driving forward and ruined the front of that little car. but it was driven into the shop this morning. But it was alot of fun But I don't think I'll be doing another mini anytime soon. I didn't place but I had alot of fun

Oh man that thing has a lot of life left! Fix it and run it at least 1 more time. That back is doing good for you. What took you out?

I haven't opened up the hood yet but it wouldn't stay running and when it would fire up it would barely move.

Taht stupid horse, we cant keep him out of the shop, He poops everywhere and gets mad and starts banging the doors if we lock him out. He's kinda a pain in the A--. But he's cool at the same time, he even likes Bud Light.
