So I'm getting ready to put on front clip now.My question is when I cut the hole out in the hood. How big should the hole be and witch direction(s) to fold it for strength.Front/back sides etc. What benefit is there to folding hood in front of core support?Usually I run without a hood so I'm looking for ideas, concerns, experiences anything really as far as input.I have my core support spaced up 2 inches I'm not going anymore than that.Because where it is now it's hard to get my radiator with my bumper the way it is.I'm going to put spacers between the fender and the core support to compensate for my tilt/low core support. If you have to cut a larger opening in hood I would suggest cutting and folding front to back. Also run bolts through the hood where you cut through supports. Weld if your rules allow and bolt if they don't. If your rules don't specify an opening in the hood, then cut as little as possible. As for bending the hood over the core support, it has been my experience that unless your rules allow you to run bolts or allthread through the core support as well as add bolts somewhere else through the hood, it's probably not worth the effort.

Anybody know what 14 inch rims from late model cars would work in vics? I heard rangers were 14" I've only found 15's though.Any idea what engine or years would have the 14's ?
Thanks.

Hood and fenders are on. Welded my cross bar in for drivers door.Bolted seat belt back on. Put bolts around cut out in hood (not pictured).Chained 3/4 doors shut. All that's left to do is. Weld drivers door shut. Cut holes in hood for 9 wire at 6 points.Still trying to figure out best locations. And to secure radiator in better Still in temporary with small mechanics wire lol.Wasn't sure if it was a good rad to begin with.

looks but BUT shoulda cuz the area in front of the headers a little more, the front of your car goes up and it gets into your headers... food for thought

Yea I opened it up more before I bolted it.How much clearance do you suggest because I will be cutting into the support on the hood if I open it up any more.

Clearance is about 2 1/4" around the header at the moment.

This is gonna be one mean nasty car. All that's left to do is tying down radiator Unless I'm allowed to crease.I started to do the quarters But I'd like to do the fenders to make them more rigid for tying down the hood. I want to paint my cousin as a sponsor on here.Anyone know where I can get some decent sized stencils or should I just use a paint brush?

i would use a brush or do what my buddy does down here take tape and write out the sponsor with it and then take spray and go over top and around the tape and then remove the tape to make the name Like this and for the creasing he allows it down here as for their not sure call and ask im sure he will allow it and if you have an air hammer i would use that would def make it faster
