Just cut a hole in the trunk floor above the part of the frame you want to get to. I prebend gm rears, but fords will go up on there own 95% of the time,,,I only nocth or dimple fords to take stress off the humps.

I think I'd go alittle deeper with the cut I did mine an 1"wide by1 1/2 deep then I started to make it bend then I went up about 3" from the hump and did a slice about like you did there and about two inches down it was going great until my bumper came off I hopt that helps ya just a thought I've really never built a ford I built my first ford this yr and did very well with it theres pics of my car in the ford section under 82 merc ideas if you want to look just a thought for ya

i think im just gonna leave that lil notch where it is and thinking about dimpleing up near the humps but im not sure if i should dimple it to the hump side of the bodymount or to the rear of the body mount that is by the humps. the body mount is about5-6 or so behind the humps

With a dimple you don't cut nothing all you need is a ax or big hammer and dent the top of the frame where you want it to bend i don't use heat eaither hope that helps. that does help scooter thanks im gonna be doing this to my vic this year.

The top slice was a lil wider though. Side slices are same size. If you keep that slice the same size then I would use a ball peen hammer and hit on top of the frame where the slice is. To bend the metal a little bit further apart. Once the frame bends up it will pinch that gap back together and bind. Then depending on how hard of a hit you recieve after that it will either keep bending there, or bend elsewhere closer to the humps.

on my newport i didnt do anything but this next year after i pull the back down and out im gonna notch it rite by the shackles and then probly closer to the humps too, both will be BIG notchs cuz the humps are blown so i need to get stress off of them, lets just say tho i dont plan on using the back one time to hit, i want the front sky high by the end of the derby, im just goin out there to wreck sh!t
