The diaphram is a small circular rubber edged piece inside one of the outside cover plates on the side of the carb. It has a metal cylinder shaft going into it, that adjusts when you push on the pedal. Old ones can crack and dry out, or some people say they can blow out if the carb backfires. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of the diaphram when I rebuilt my carb. I'll get it on here monday afternoon....need sleep for now well if they can blow out when the carb backfires that just might be what happened because that carb has backfired just a few more times than once

Yes they can break from backfiring. But that was what other people told me. I have never experienced blowing one out from a backfire. And I think my carb has backfired about 20 times way back when we first put it on and had the firing order messed up. Still works fine though. I guess its a hit or miss kind of problem. Ok heres the pics. The front view of carb. Here is that metal cylinder I talked about. It is located behind that square plate bolted on. Remove the 4 bolts indicated by screw driver pointer. There is the metal cylinder, that is attached to the rubber diaphram piece. It has a rubber ribbed edge. And I think that is the part that can blow out if i'm not mistaken. (Keep in mind I have never first hand messed with a blown one) Just going by what others say. Both the black rubber piece and orange rubber plug would prolly need replaced for precautions. IF that actually is your problem. If you open it up and the rubber isnt cracked or ripped anywhere, then it should still be good. If any other members on here have more info, feel free to add to this.

I would take the back bumper off it helps it from sky rocketing. It folds more in than up

ive heard that but idk if id go without one, i dont believe that i can justify 2 hits without a backbumper vs. getting more if i run one even if it does go high,,,, which is y id dimpled the frame and pounded across the back, so it dont go high

and idk if id go without one either. i think there will be alot of ppl gunning for 307ci and if they see he doesnt have a rear bumper theyll take an angle shot on his back end in hopes of pushing the fram out towards the rear tires

Is that a side view of the frame? You just heated it up with the torch right? Didnt cut into it at all because your not allowed?

i thought it was a top view of the frame but im not sure. yes he heated it with a torch. and we can cut into it. we just figure that we'd try this instead because this allows the frame to bend there without it actually ripping and it seems to keep the rear end down a little longer than notching it.
