wow..around here if you show up with chain you more than likely wont get to the track due to being under built....man that sucks.

there was an imp ran in dickinson, nd's derby last year (which was no weld). dont have any pics of it tho but there wasnt much damage on the car. made feature no problem but then got pushed over the berms and got hung up and eventually timed out. i think the driver was even from montana? im sure 307ci will have more info to add...

I bet that was Neil Moore's car. He has ran Imps for years and still has quite a few fresh ones. I am trying to get him to build something for Mott, but he is so busy with work he hasn't even started on a car yet.
He has a pile of bent up subs. LOL

That's fine he can stay busy and keep the imps out of mott then Lol ;D. You're probly right about the guy. Is he the one that found a boatload of imps at a junkyard in south Dakota and traded junk and scrap metal for them?

It probably was Moore because I don't think Erickson ran in Dickinson. But the Ericksons from Baker (father and son) run imperials.....and they get them for peanuts out of South Dakota. Nice guys. I bought a 63 Galaxy for 50 bucks from the dad.

Thanks.
No real updates, but did order a set of DEC 4 into 1 forward offset tall headers today. Got two new bias ply mudders mounted and put on the car. The motor is still in Wyoming, but the crank is done and the block is being bored for the forged flat-tops today. Heads have been rebuilt and sitting on the bench. Trans is done and ready to go. I am itching to finish this old girl.

May not make it to Mott. Have serious cooling issues with this motor. Hope to have them sorted out, but time is flying by.

I am trying, but it might have to go back to the builder. Everyone is scratching their heads on this one.

Try a direct drive fan like a flexlite. They pull more air then any electric fan.
