i just bought water pipe to build a set for next year, but im not letting out any secrets on how mine will be built, there a project for class

if anyone is wondering you can get header flanges at summit.com.... what would headers sound like if you used thick pipe like plumbing pipe or something. would it be a deeper roar jw the bigger dia. the pipe the deeper the sound

that is very true, just dont go to big or ull have no backpressure...... i personally like the sound of smaller pipe tho, it cracks and sounds really bad@ss

i knew a guy who made his truck which was a daily driver, he made his exhaust out of this type of pipe and it sounded sick nasty

see our headers cant go past the hood so i have to build mine custom so they wont go through the hood atleast not that much

if i were u etown id try and build a set kinda like i had on my newport last year, where they come out of the hood a little but the only part thats out of the hood is in a cupler....id think that would pass

I made a set for a 350 chevy and my bro and i got it all but the flanges from lowes we got 1/4 inch thick 90's with 1 inch conduit lol ;D

I built a set out of pipe once.........never a gain. They were so heavy, they tore themselves up. LOL busted a few bolts on the heads. Exhaust pipe is much lighter. Especially since I like mine really tall......like almost to the roof. Lots of leverage on those little bolts.

my headers im building will have 2 different size pipes, the water pipe will only be about 12 inches total and only on 4 of the 8 pipes, so the thickness wont be a big deal with how small the diameter of it is lol,,,, u guys are gonna laugh ur @sses off when you see these things, but i think theyll sound awesome on a mopar big block
