Unfortunately, I now have a wife and daughter. Wife says, "I can do something better with the $300". Sort of agree with her. Every year, my Daughter tries getting me to do it again. I have a 87 F-150, that is almost ready for me to strip, and run. My wife has no problem with that one. She hates that truck. We'll see.
Now a days, I spend my Spring and Summer running around to different events in the North East part of PA. At least I have that left.

if you get a starter from a junkyard look for a 4.6 starter. then you can get rid of the solenoid cause its on the starter. Is the car still fuel injected? or has it been changed to points? My brothers ford was hei with a mini starter off ebay. and a modified chevy alternator to fit the ford. its really an awesome combo.

Oh its still fuel injected...then that could lead to a lot of different possibilities of why it won't start.

thats not a bad ideal but my solenoid id mounted on top of my ac pump so think it would be grounded throught that since the motor is grounded to the frame

I had a lebaron once i pulled the pucks out of and it wouldn't start put the back pucks back in and it started. Reason for the problem motor mounts were bad on the slant 6.
