I hope it runs as good as it looks.LOL. I changed out the timing chain with a double roller steel set. and replaced all the gaskets, seals and freeze plugs in the whole engine. plus ill be puting on a whole new ignition kit. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points and condenser. so it should run like a new motor when I get done.

Another hurdel for me yipeee. Gotta love this crap. Got the motor all wired up again and everything new in it and on it finally got the distributer in right after being 180 out. and fired it up. got it timed just right, runs great. so I decide to drive it to the end of the drive and back. about 180 ft one way, get it back to the garage and sputter sputerr and die. now it wont fire back up again. I got pissed and went in the house. tommorrow I will check the points, coil, see if i'm gettin fire to the plugs. I dont know. Its probably gonna be something simple, but for now I hate that car. LOL

Ya thanks man I appreciate the encouragment. It almost sounds like it lost compression, but it didnt make any kind of noise before it died it just died. like it lost fire or something. Everything on that motor is new except the coil I think it was original to the motor and it came out of a 1979 Dodge Magnum LOL. Not really but it looks that way. It came on the Magnum, and I bought that car in 2006.

a little more done today. Got the cooling system all in, and the hood cut and folded over. no chains yet but soon. So what did you mean to fold the quarters over to meet the trunk lid? Just the corners at the very back, or the whole quarter panel from th bottom of the window to the end? Trying to figure out where to go from here to get the trunk to pack in and not go sky high. any advice and maybe some pics would be great. thanks

Thanks. Thats what I had kinda had envisioned was folding the corners over inside the trunk then chainin it all down. I have never creased a car before. I have seen plenty of pics so I may give that a try. I wont be getting much done over the next few weeks. I am on my way to the hospital. I am haveing a couple of hernia repairs today. I have to be there at 0730. I hope to be back at it in about 3 weeks.

Well I can't stand sitting idle for weeks on end. So I have been out doing little light work on the car. I got the trunk all chained down tight and the hood holes cut for chains and the chains in the hood, and I also got all the holes cut for the chains in the doors. and i got the tranny cooler mounted inside. Just need window bars, The doors alll welded and some creasing done and she will be ready for paint. i'll get some more pics up soon.
