i run in a stoney derby down here in alabama. this past year i bolted the front bumper to the plates then welded the plates to the frame in the front. i also took and drilled out the rear bumper shocks and colapsed them in and put a 1/2 in bolt threw each side. i dont think they even noticed it. i was told we just couldnt weld the rear to the frame. i think i may try to do that to the front of my next car also. if they say anything about it then you can just take the bolts out and after the 1st good hit they will probably stay in anyway.

They don't stay in.They slide in and out.
I talked to frank in person last year he said no to the hardnosing..?? Maybe I didn't explain it right?
Anyways I hardnosed my rear bumper the best I could get to it anyhow we will see if it will fly this year.I use front end anyhow back is for any needed hits only.

yea he told us i had to cut them off and then weld the plates to the frame which is what i did on my 90 and they did say anything so they shouldnt say anything thiss year

well got the windsheild out today so now just the rest of the welding and remove the fuel tank and set up the fuel cell dealio...

got the rest of the windows out and the windsheild bars made and in place gonna be finishing her up within a few weeks. theirs talk of getting a 70s olds
