didn't really want to get into that. They already nit picking about shit.Such as my cage being overkill. If it weren't for other drivers complaining I'm sure I could do whatever I want. Some techs say its ok then when ppl complain they say something about it...And drivers fender pretty Fk*** up now as it is.I already narrowed the core support because I was going to angle it back because it's too close to the radiator. As much as I use my front end I'd blow it again in no time.

maybe I'll try to bend it around the core support and bolt it on but if it's gonna be a ball buster I'll just cut the damn C**K sucker off!

Managed to bolt the fenders to the core support. Not pretty but it does work.Core support is narrowed(cut off headlight holes on sides) It is also tilted back towards the motor for more clearance from the bumper. This being said the front of the car is shaped like a trapezoid. \_/ .Didn't get any pictures today.I will more than likely be running without a hood. It's too mangled up.And Hardly use one anyhow.Plus it would look really silly on the front of the car and I would have to bend and tie it too much.

I'm not sure If I'll be going to Rutland or not. This just happened today after installing some larger jets in the carb and getting motor hot, test starting etc.Drained the oil after this, it was so hot it melted a hole in my oil pan(plastic drain pan).I didn't see any metal in what oil stayed in the pan.Any ideas on next course of action? Try new bearings hope/pray? Run it as it is? I got alot of money in this motor and it really makes me upset.Seems to be a little louder on the passenger side. When I idle the carb down to min I don't hear it.Typically with a rod knock you would hear it pretty damn good here.Rod knock? Spun bearing? Wrist pin? I have another 351w block.Maybe I can put these heads on that block intake etc and go?I think the last thing I need is to have a piston slap my heads on this motor.I know nothing about the other 351w I have though it came out of this brown vic to begin with...Rutland is July 4th I need ideas and thoughts guys please.

It sounds like a wrist pin to me I had a 305 that sounded like that. it ran good but had alot of metal in the pan when I drained it. If it was my motor I'd pull it out and disasemble it and find the problem before all the money you spent is destroyed. Better waft then sorry. Tom

I've decided to go for meltdown. That's whats part of this sport right? Besides my other engine If I were to put these heads on them I'd have to get new push rods because other block isn't a roller being an 89.... or I can just swap the intake and oil pan but have zero power.Either way time isn't on my side I got a busy week.
