Before I started using the kevlar I used all kinds of hoses, wads of tape, the plastic covers that come in some cars.The only thing that has ever made me burn a wire was using too small of wires. I still use a lot of zip ties to tidy every thing up, and make sure it all stays put.

looks like i will continue using the 3/8 copper tubing. i guess the saying is true...If it is'nt broke, don't try to fix it. thanks for the input guys! 82: tell me more about the kevlar you use..where do you get that at? and at what cost?

Found the kevlar in a warehouse that was rented for storage space. Never had to buy it so I dont know what it costs. Its a black heavy fabric tubing. Look at a newer piece of heavy equipment, like a backhoe. They use it on all the hydraulic hoses. You could probly get it at a farm store. I don't know if its better than anything else, but I found a large roll and I like using it. It doesn't seem to burn either.

we all run rubber black hose here, thru the firewall and back,,,,, always worked good on every car ive seen it done to just realized we were still talking about the actual fuel line. I run black rubber fuelline also, I just run the line through a piece of kevlar or what ever for cut protection ;D

hmm i'm going to have to consider running the fuel hose like you guys are doing, this would definitely have its pros and cons,but if i can burn-proof it in engine compartment,it would be the way to go

yulp its the way to go im goin to end up running rubber line front to back an from where it goes thorough the firewall to the pump will have gargen hose over it

yea we all use the black rubber fuel line. running it through the firewall ill try to find some rubber grommets to feed the hose through. tranny lines willget covered by garden hose or vaccuum hose

rubber lines are nice cuz when you strip the car you just take the line off the carb or pump and wrap it around your tank, and then its ready for next time.

are there different grades of rubber fuel line? or do i just go to autozone and ask for what? 3/8 fuel line?

umm not exactly sure if there is different grades...i was looking on the internet and some says its reinforced. im almost positive the stuff we used isnt reinforced. and im also pretty sure its 3/8

there is low pressure for carb motors and high pressure for efi.
