Started work on the seat bar today. I have big plans for the design of this "seat bar". Should be pretty solid when things are all done. I think I am getting better at welding...a little bit at a time. Here is the seat bar. About half way done so far...

Did you happen to grind the metal where you welded? You are getting better ....i can tell from the last seat bar you did, good work Mitchell. What were those pieces of flat steel off of?(they look like some sort of brackets)

But nobody can ever tell because it gets covered in welds up to the rust edge again. The flat steel were parts off of some kind of farm equipment I believe. We got them at an auction so i'm not too certain.

Went to the junkyard today. Didnt find any angle adapters for the oil filter. I will just have to buy the relocator kit. I did find a entire car length brand new brake line out of a race car though. Also got a driveshaft for my C6 tranny. Worked more on my seat bar. Welds still improving, here are some weld pictures with the slag knocked off. Seat bar now has the legs done, and plates on them. Still have a few more things to do on the seat bar before its ready Almost have my floor shifter done, pics will come later this week on that.

I think my backend should be pretty strong after the car is all done. But we'll see how it holds up.

I quit running these cars because of the ass end. LOL I would beat cars all night with the front, but someone always found my ass end and the rear bumper would be right behind my head in no time. They are fun cars and tough as hell in the front.......drive them like a subframe imperial.
