Well I was recommended by a couple people to put my build up on here as it goes. So I will put on the updates that it has so far. First off I will summarize our rules so people dont tell me to weld everything... This is a Stock Limited Weld Derby. The only things welded are the bumpers, rearend, and a bar behind the seat. NO frame welding. Notching and cutting of frame is allowed. All hood, trunk, and doors must use 9 wire or chains. The trunk lid is allowed to be placed inside the trunk. But no tucking or wedging allowed. No creasing of metal or any prebending. ANY kind of tire allowed except the giant V-tread...not sure why on this? Body mounts will get replaced Engine swap, bumper swap allowed It has a ford 9 inch and will have a full spool When we got it fresh Fixed this rust hole Back bumper was rusty, going to get new front and back bumper from junkyard. The engine that came in the car. 89 Crown Vic Roller engine, ford 302.

Pulled the front clip off it Removed these bumper brackets to remount on stronger. Still trying to figure out what to do with the brake setup. It has the hyrdobrakes or whatever. It was powered by the power steering pump. So we will either plug it all up and have stiff brakes, or convert it to the brake booster style. I will only be using back brakes. Cut holes for the body mounts. Pulled engine out of Thunderbird Pulled engine out of my green Lincoln This will be the engine going into the Thunderbird. I won't be using the 89 vic engine for the thunderbird because it still needs some parts and is untested. I would rather use the lincoln engine that we know is doing good still. I will be continueing work on this car once I am out of college for summer break. Starting at the end of April.

LOL, those mid 70's ford rear bumpers are almost always like that. I have ran many and the rear bumpers usually fall if I jumped on them. Be sure and collapse the bumper shocks. If you don't, it is GUARANTEED that you will be running over your own bumper. That I beam rips and those bumpers fall off easier than a prom dress.

Hey Mitchell, you said you are only running back brakes?...how are you going to eliminate the fronts? are you going to just hammer the ft. lines shut,or put a screw in the end of the line that goes to the master cylinder?

^^^ Yes, plugging the lines. I am also removing the entire front brake setup off the car to help prevent wheel lock ups.
