More updates on my car: Hood is now mounted on car. Front mud tires. I still have to raise the suspension and weld it solid. The rear is going to have 13 inch rims. I still have more to add to the front and back. Its not done yet!

Well I ran the car and had a blast!! Took 4th place out of 16 cars. It will be back for another run. I used the front almost the whole time and it held up insanly great. The engine mount(s) broke and even though the engine was chained down, the chain slide down the length of the frame and the engine smacked sideways into the drivers side frame. A factory bolt was on the frame and stabbed into my transmission pan, draining the fluid pretty quick. 30 seconds longer and I would of had 3rd place, 1 more minute and I would of had 1st. I by FAR had the strongest car in my class. It will be back to the same derby in 2012. The back tried to plow down on the drivers side. But overall it did like I expected in the trunk. Front is still perfect. Not a single bend in the frame or anything. Front wheel took several hard shots and broke the strut. The spring also broke in 2 pieces. It still spins and steers though. I will fix this for the next run. The rear passenger side packed in perfect! Exactly how I wanted it on this side. The car bent right at my notches in the back. Bumper stayed in place, no bends in the bumper at all or bends in the unibody frame it attached to. The belt destroyed itself somehow at the end of the derby. Still not sure how this happened...more research needed. Under the hood everything is still in the same spot. Looks almost the same as before the derby. .... I think I like taurus's for in derbies. I see more in my future, with a few more changes to make them better.

Its almost that time again! 1 more week and I will be going home for spring break from college. Then my 2012 Derby Season will begin. Over the winter I took the time to find out everything wrong on this car and I removed the bent strut from the passenger side.
I plan to fix both front struts to be welded stronger and hopefully not bend. But overall the car does not need too much work. The hardest part will be fixing the trunk of the car. I plan on bend the rear unibody back up and manually packing it up and in. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this with the trunk how it is now?

Rear looks like it packed really well. I would leave it alone and run it.

Rear looks like it packed really well. I would leave it alone and run it. Everything bent perfect except for the drivers side rear trunk. It is bending down hard and will be jammed into the wheel in a couple hits. If I can get that bent back into an upward angle it should do fine.

hook a chain or something to it and then pull it with your truck or other derby car thats what i have done before and it seems to work just make sure the car is chained to a tree or something cause youll pull it around
